šĀ Ingredients
2 racks pork ribs (back ribs or side ribs)
Salt, pepper, and garlic powder
3 cups apple cider
SNickelFritz Kitchens Butter Tart BBQ Sauce (use generously!)
šØāš³Ā Directions
Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
If desired, remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. For best results, use garlic powder rather than fresh garlic.
Place the ribs in a roasting pan.
Pour the apple cider into the pan until it reaches approximately halfway up the ribs.
Cover loosely with foil and roast for 3 hours, turning the ribs halfway through cooking.
Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully transfer them to a plate or cooling rack.
At this point, the ribs can be refrigerated for several days or frozen for later use, making them an excellent make-ahead meal.
When ready to serve, preheat your BBQ to medium heat.
Place the ribs on the grill and generously brush with SNickelFritz Kitchens Butter Tart BBQ Sauce.
Grill for 10 minutes.
Turn the ribs, apply another layer of sauce, and continue grilling.
Repeat this process three times, building a rich, sticky glaze and beautiful caramelization.
