These little Tourtière Tartlets bring all the familiar, comforting flavours of home into one perfect bite. Tender seasoned beef, warm spices, and a touch of our Millie’s Chili Sauce tucked into flaky mini shells… just the kind of treat that makes a table feel welcoming. 🥧
Time to prepare: 20 min. Baking time: 15 min.
Serves: 24

Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil (or your favourite cooking oil)
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp onion, finely diced
1 garlic cloves, finely minced
1⁄8 teaspoon salt
1⁄8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 tsp EACH dried thyme and sage
1/8 tsp EACH ground cloves and cinnamon
2/3 cup rich beef broth
2 tbsp flour
1/2 cup Millie’s Chili Sauce
24 mini tart shells
Instructions
Prepare the tart shells:
1. Arrange the mini tart shells in a tart pan. If using foil shells, place them on a cookie sheet for stability. Bake for 10 minutes and set aside.
Cook the filling:
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, and ground beef. Cook until the beef is no longer pink, breaking it up as it cooks. Stir in the salt, pepper, thyme, sage, cloves, and cinnamon.
Mix the broth:
3. In a small bowl, whisk the beef broth and flour together until smooth, with no lumps.
4. Simmer to thicken:
5. Pour the broth mixture into the skillet, along with Millie’s Chili Sauce. Stir to combine, then simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened.
Fill the tart shells & Bake:
6. Spoon the meat mixture into the partially baked tart shells, filling them generously.
7. Return the filled tartlets to the oven and bake for 10–15 minutes, keeping an eye on them to ensure they don’t dry out.
